Research Consultancy & Doctoral supervision

Research Consultancy

I have held senior research posts in a number of major university departments and can provide advice on all aspects of the research process; in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies

Research has a narrative which always encompasses many key tasks and organisational skills. These must be ordered and maintained whilst maintaining the validity of the research.

All aspects of research are important if it is to be successful and useful; from being able to gather the resources required to conduct research, understanding the environment in which you are operating, through to being able to deliver the results in a manner that is meaningful and understandable for your target audience.  Between those two points lie a number of hurdles and potential pitfalls.

I have over twenty years of research experience with both individuals and in organisational settings, and in translating research into meaningful and applicable policy and organisational advice.

Please contact me if you would like to discuss projects where an independent opinion is needed.

Any initial advice is free.

Doctoral Supervision

Please contact me if you require doctoral supervision in the social and applied psychological sciences.

Doing a PhD is not only about being able to do the research but also often learning about how to become a researcher. That takes in a number of different aspects from ensuring that you have the proper support, developing appropriate field skills, being able to organise, plan and access the potential data or contacts and  knowing how to negotiate ethics committees and governance standards.

These are just some of the practicalities, but there are still the other aspects such as just getting through the long haul and keeping up motivation.

As well as supervision on the academic aspects I can offer a wealth of experience in all aspects of the research process which you can draw upon, and also advice on viva voce and doctoral presentations.

Any initial advice is free.
